Trump was racist for the travel ban 2 months ago but now he’s Incompetent  for not doing enough?

Can he ever win?

Done enough?  How can he have done enough when 10,000 people are getting on flights every day from New York to Florida?

They don't screen them getting on the flight .... they take their temperature when they land ... then quarantine the sick ones ... after they spent 3 hours in a test tube with up to a couple hundred people.

How the fuck is that allowed to happen?

God Bless Us All

"How the fuck is that allowed to happen? "

New York is fucked.
To balance out the curve, they have to get as many out of that State as possible.
Florida must have pulled the small straw.
It's full of old Canadians, so who cares.

"Trump's approval numbers hit their highest point ever this week, with 60 percent of Americans approving of his coronavirus response efforts."

I'm not one to put much weight on polls, but any poll that says DJT has 60% approval on anything, speaks volumes to how Americans feel about his handling of the outbreak.
I think it is irrefutable that his quick response to stop inbound flights from hot spots, will go down as one of the most important decisions made by an American Administration in the last 20 years.

Depends where the majority of responses were from geographically.
Bet they weren’t from NY, etc.
Would be interesting to see the stats.

Absolutely.    Polls are as good as the diversity of the respondents.
If he got 10% approval from LA, that would still be an improvement.

Waiting for the daily numbers from CDC.  New cases and deaths.    Consistently, the report comes out at noon every day, covering up to the previous day at 4pm.   Best apples to apples data available.   Nationally or state by state.

CDC numbers are only what gets reported to them.  Johns Hopkins link already available on this thread also....cases reported are doubling around every 72hrs...should see peak within a month, they are "claiming". The public panic/hype surrounding this is a joke as well....no argument, just a fact.

The hotspots, like NYC, do deserve the panic.

Can anyone here even pinpoint where the Type A influenza hotspots are?  How many people infected, dead already?....numbers are LARGER and will be larger.  And what about that 98% survival rate.  Should we panic? The people that recover...panic?

This is the scary part:

- COVID-19 patients average time on ventilator: 11 - 21 days (vs. 3 - 4 days for non-COVID-19 patients).

"We have patients that have been 20 days 30 days on a ventilator. The longer you are on a ventilator, the more likely you are not going get off a ventilator"

May have to start making decisions after 15 days if ventilators run short.   If like you say, the longer you are on it, the less chance you have of living, may have to give it to someone needing it for day 1.
