"Our data has very convincingly shown that across the world in a real-world population that this drug combination, whichever way you slice it or dice it, does not show any evidence of benefit, and in fact is immutably showing a signal of grave harm," said Dr. Mandeep Mehra, the study’s lead author."

Dingus   ....    Who cares what the French say.    Trump has 2 doctors that see no harm in him taking these shots.   Why does that matter to you.
You should be more concerned about the Democrats best friend Cuomo taking a million dollar donation from the special interest lobby group representing "nursing homes" in NY.    Now he gives nursing homes immunity from prosecution for killing old folks in their care during the pandemic.
Seriously Dingus, you want to get all worked up about Trump taking a drug that the French say doesn't hurt, but doesn't help, while ignoring Cuomo turning his elder care homes into morgues !!!!   Come on.

you might not like how he talks about things but trump gets the job done. he says what real folks think but are afraid to say. he might not be correct in a political way but he knows how to make things happen. he has done a great job economically for this country. if not for this virus it would be a walkover election.

Fat - I made a decent chunk in the market over the yrs and liked that the economy was going well under the stable genius in Washington. When I retired a few years back though I did rearrange my holdings so they were a little more conservative in case some calamity struck this country

However, a lot of us true fiscal conservatives recognize that anyone can ramp up the economy in the short run by cutting taxes. College sophomores learn that in macroeconomic classes.

It would be impressive and not disconcerting if POTUS did it at the same time spending was held static or actually decreased so the debt could be paid down.

A lot of us true fiscal conservatives worry that spending and the debt have soared under this guy who unlike us, was a fiscal liberal only 15-20 yrs ago.

Our thinking is the debt has grown so much under this guy, the nation was being placed in a precarious position if any true emergency like two major wars on different fronts at the same time or a pandemic hit.

Well the pandemic hit and most leaders would have the forsesight to have the usa placed in a position to handle it instead of unwisely building the national debt for three years.

It be nice now if we had more bullets in our economic holster to weather this thing. Hopefully the 🍊 haired one can pull an economic recovery out of his hat.

If Trumps motto is to "Make America Great Again" can someone tell me why all his business loans are from foreign banks  11.wp 11.wp

Answer, "because he bankrupted to many American banks"   11.wp 11.wp 11.wp 11.wp

The President lies constantly.  That is my problem with him.

Wolf did the same thing in PA as Cuomo in NY with the nursing homes.
I don’t like either of them.

And, I am not worked up. I am just reporting what was written that shoots down another Trump “suggestion “.

Must be a different Trump. I didn't say the banks went bankrupt because of Trump. Trumps way of doing business is to borrow your ass off, and then threaten bankruptcy when the bank won't provide more funds.   11.wp 11.wp 11.wp

Hornbyduke  ...  ignore my response on the OT thread.   Obviously you do have an interest in discussing real issues.
I don't disagree with what you say, but I admit, I don't understand this debt craziness.  I have a very close friend in the investment banking industry and I asked him to explain it to me.   Namely, when the USA can just keep printing money and still be the most solid bet for covering that debt, regardless of how high it seems to go, what does it really mean in the mid term of lets say 10 years?
Does the world care if the US debt is 800 billion, 4 trillion or 40 trillion.   I don't know.

As for bullets, I posted a week ago that I had heard the Fed chairman interviewed and he calmed me down a little, in that he straight out said, he still has many bullets to shoot in response to the fallout from this pandemic.
Yes, I'm Canadian, but I care what happens in the USA.   My RRSP and investment account as we call our 401k has a good waiting of American stocks and of course any Canadian companies I am invested in take a shit kicking every time the American economy attracts negative news.

"another Trump “suggestion “.

Not sure it was a suggestion, but if it was, how is it a lie?
He said he was taking it.    Truth
He never said his doctors told him to.   Truth    And all his doctor(s) confirmed was that he was taking it and they didn't know if it would help against the virus, but it wouldn't hurt.
