Last Saturday Merriman went down with a Rhoades horse who was in the pocket looked to be under a pretty good hold and was literally "On the Helmet" of the leader from the time she relinquished the lead around the quarter pole.  Coming into the last turn she took a bad step, broke, and fell down taking out 4 others, 2 of which also went down. He was reported as having a concussion but is scheduled to drive tomorrow at the Meadows and Saturday at Northfield.

Rhoades horses have been winning at astronomical rates this year, and he has been a super high percentage trainer for a while now from what I've read ... and always under some suspicion.  Wonder what the folks at Northfield think?

Merriman not needed. Rhodes won at 1/9 twice in the past few days with Trent Tharps Jr in the bike. Could probably hook in Dan Kennedy and they'd still win.
