None of the names were a surprise to anyone. Or shouldn't have been. Probably just the tip of the iceberg. Heads will roll. Only question is whose and when. I'm hoping the feds will give one or two crooks immunity for flipping the others.
As an aside, after observing racing on both sides of the border since the mid 1960's and knowing dozens of trainers personally, I am confident that 98% of trainers are hard working honest individuals. There are things one can do to enhance performance or darken form that are perfectly legal. It is a game. Everyone wants an edge. But the 27 who were just indicted make the Houston Astros look like choir boys.
