topsham fair

maines fair seasons is up and running. 10 thrilling races at topsham. good opening day crowd and handle. 10 more on monday night. track played very fair. hope the trend upward continues thruout the season. missing mr johnson in the announcers booth. mike c did a good job filling in.

it was a great day at topsham. good racing. 2nd day in a row handle was up. next few days are a bit short on horses.   i have a question. years ago everyone sat out fairs like topsham and union so they could start 2 or 3 times at skowhegan and windsor. now with the purses the same and a horse shortage why not run at topsham or union, the horses still will get in pleanty at other towns. just a thought.

the racing was really good yesterday. only 8 races with short fields today and tomorrow. i will be there tomorrow and today i will listen on the radio. all plopsters who want to l8sten to races can go to the wskw 1160 website and listen to live racing.

another good day today at topsham. saturday has a great card. glad that scarborough switched to friday this week. topsham benifitted and has two excellent top class races. all the good drivers and horses will be there. sunday its on to skow vegas.
