same story in sports and horse racing
father time eventually always wins
horse gets to be 8 and it gets tougher for them , especially pacers, maybe an extra year or so for trotters
agree that cassie has had a slow start, guess she is human after all
stag party is no good and some of the 2 yr olds are average so far

Agree
McWicked  raced his heart out for 7yrs. any further racing is just not right.
He  gave his owner a good bankroll .

No great athlete wants to retire. This is what they do.

How is Cassie any different than any trainer. After last season the owner thought another good season and the book would be full and Cassie thought that it would give her time to see what she had as 2 yr olds. Well so far that decision doesn't look good but it doesn't change what was decided that the horse is finished after this year and on to breeding. Cassie openly said that in her way of thinking the 3 yr old is what she builds for and she doesn't want to gut them at 2.
When Pro football players that loves his sport gets hit thousands of time over their career's , and
still are on top of their game can't walk or have dementia.
