Ake outdrives them all.  You won't hear that very often.

Not one of Sears best drives at all. If I am the owners, I am pissed off

Sears should be fired from that drive.

Yeah, his stablemate didn't carry him up fast enough but with the horsepower he had he should have gone wider and he wins

Ake always crashes people, but he stole the race and a brilliant heads up back down of the second quarter.

Another year that it rained on sun stake Saturday and they put dry track material on top of a sloppy surface

They did the same thing 2 years ago and not one horse could last on the lead

Same happened last night

Like I said, If I was the owner, he would be fired and Dexter Dunn put on  it. He knows when to move and isn't thinking about grabbing tits or jacking off while driving

https://www.drf.com/news/pocono-marseille-stuns-greenshoe-57-1-surprise-earl-beal-memorial-jr-final

As for trainer Marcus Melander, who expected to be celebrating a win with either Greenshoe or Green Manalishi, he wasn't disappointed in their efforts, but questioned where they were positioned, especially Greenshoe.

"He should have been a little bit more aggressive with him from the start.  He got way too far behind," Melander said.  "He raced super, but when Ake came to the lead and went the second quarter that slow, and we were sitting sixth or something like that, he should have been a little more active from the start.

"He had everything to lose.  He was the best horse in the field.  When he got that second quarter breather I knew it was going to be hard to catch him because we were sitting so far behind.  Both my horses did really, really good, but 57 for the half, there was no shot we were going to get him.  Just a couple feet more he would have passed him, but it wasn't enough."

Of all the great drivers who you might consider for this horse, the only one of them who would get caught this far back in a race of this magnitude would be Brian Sears. NONE of the others would have been sitting worse than third early and would have steamrolled first over to an easy win.

maybe he thought he was that much better than the field

besides that why these type of races have to be held on mile tracks

,,
i call abolishment of all 5/8 tracks
