No responses to your question because there isn't enough gossip and drama involved for most on here, so I'll help you out with your 'capping.

Pocono is among the absolute fastest pieces of dirt around, but it isn't just about the surface as much as it is the style of racing.  The drivers there drive horses like they are Formula 1 cars.  Rarely a quarter slower than :28 and lots of movement, so the pace and trip dynamics of the races from there combined with the fast red surface always produce faster miles than most places, especially Mohawk.

Even though it is a bigger 7/8ths track which would lead most to believe that with less time in the turns, the miles would be faster, the pace and trip dynamics are usually very different: fast first quarters, slow -- and by slow I mean a crawl, often :30 clip -- middle 3/8ths, tempo starts to pick up deep into the last turn and then it's a sprint home when the horses can do it.

So, having said all of that, despite Pocono being a 5/8ths and Mohawk a 7/8ths, I would absolutely say that Pocono is faster.

Hope it helps.  Good luck playing the big races this weekend!

Mohawk is fast but the drivers are the slow ones.
Hardly any flow, buddy system in play,2nd and3rd quarters
Usually a walk and racing officials are too blind to notice anything.
Very boring to watch with no excitement.
