This is typical Woodbine.  They'd rather have someone "nice" that is phony and just goes through the robotic motions than someone who has actual experience and an opinion but might offend someone as a result.  It's like that with all of them: Middleton (awful), Portuondo (awful), Rozema (not as bad but thinks he knows more than he actually does), Blanchard (fluff city), Lupul (give me a break) and the list goes on.  I forgot Mike Hamilton and Garnet Barnsdale. Ugh. Don't get me started.  Been at the job for a million years and still have absolutely no clue.  They all should watch Andy Serling on NYRA or Gabe Prewitt to get a clue about gambling and handicapping.

Serling is the biggest know-it-all bustout around.

He's well connected.  Has breakfast with the Wellwoods, lunch with Sandy Hawley and dinner with the head of the Chicago mafia.

And twice a week, he speaks directly to Northern Dancer.

Amazing! How dumb does this clown think people are.  He's a level below grifter. I'll see if the carnival that comes through town has an opening for a humpback carny wanabee for him.
