track with the most gas
« on: March 29, 2019, 05:50:52 AM »
Is it yonkers or pocono or ? I feel bad for the horses going from one blaster to the next every other week.Bunch of lowlifes at both places. The old saying used to be if you want a pet buy a goldfish. It wouldn't live long with these people.Surprising more horses don't drop dead, just shows how tough standardbreds are

here's the facts:  every circuit has its own fraternity of "gasmen" that become obvious with the number of races they win and the instant improvement in the horses that move into their barns. this applies to all racing breeds. runners and quarters are not an exception. when there is a void at any circuit, a fraternity of "gasmen" quickly develops to take advantage of the situation. you can go back to Oscar barrera  in the nyra circuit when he would take claimers on a regular basis and then bead graded stake horses with that animal.

the industry has become polluted drug warfare. look at the guy that moved (or got kicked out of tampa) and set up shop at Monmouth. they took him because without his burgeoning stable, they couldn't fill races. no legit trainer is as good as his record and there are guys like him on every circuit.

Can someone who is knowledgeable of racing at Northfield tell me how horses that race at freehold who can’t break 2:00 with good trainers, then get shipped to Northfield go in 1:54 next start? I see cripples go in 53 at Northfield then come east and can’t go 53 at the M.  I am told you can use the kitchen sink out there. Please advise. Thanks
