Someone please explain this....

Was reading the fines and suspensions on ustrotting website and saw Pat Beeler was given 8 days off (later reduced to 5) for a lack of effort drive on the #3 in the 3rd at Monticello on 1/8/19. I decided to watch this replay to see what he had done! Well...not that Pat Beeler is a great driver but I was surprised that he was suspended after watching this race. I had expected him to go to the rail and make no effort at all since this was the explanation in the suspension. Not even close!! He takes his horse out to the lead and leads the entire way until getting caught near the wire by a horse that sat the perfect trip!!! Please, what am I missing?

Just watched the replay,Pat sat chili down the lane,have no idea if he was just shooting for second or not,but you have to drive the horse some at least,good move to give him days.This is a situation where you clowns who hate whippers like Joe B and George Nap are wrong,they whip,slash,blood and hair on the whip,that's the way it should be

Tapped him a bit turning for home but then nothing...probabl y a nw2 and didnt want to step up.
