Harness Racing should be an EVENT !

why doesn't LIVE harness racing compete as a sporting event.  Our sport needs mascots ! it is not too much to ask to have horse mascots glad handing the fans and doing some decent entertainment.  I remind you of the idea that grooms should look uniformed and be in apparel that makes it look like an event.   The horses could have decorations for special days.  Why aren't there stable team cheerleaders?   Racinos and HHAs could really promote this sport; and, in no time at all, harness racing might be as popular as  -  hhhmmm, curling, golf, soccer  ^  HIP-HIP-HOORAY  !!!

And just WHO is going to pay for this? The grooms?  MOST of the people in harness racing are TOO CHEAP to pay for anything they don't absolutely HAVE to.
