Good for Stevie!  Great guy.  Above-average driver and trainer. Although he was an above-average Whiner (although he was in such chronic pain from his back and legs that I almost give him a pass)  I would rank him in the top ten LEFT HANDED whippers/drivers.  Lew Williams was #1.

Having said that, let us come together, join hands and pray:  Dear God, fuck Jewffrey Gural.  Amen.  Until next time, darlings.......HE IL HITLER!!

Here's a little trivia for you kids. Stevie had a second trainer in the early 80's by the name of Jim McGuire. Jim grew up with Bruce Springsteen and played the drums in Bruce's first band which later became The E Street Band. Jim left the band to concentrate on horses.

and jim wound up a loser

I will verify that also. Pie was pretty good on the drums.

Old Man. I know Pie's parents died and they left the money in a  trust. Chuck McCann was the trustee. Lost track of Pie last I heard  he was working for Alex heading to Florida. Any updates on old Pie.

Also Jim McGuire was  living with a girl named Cindy, they were together for probably 25 years. If she had lots of money she hid it pretty well..

I've heard Pie might be in an unpleasant facility. Chuck passed away. Jim and Cindy are still together and racing.

To read the original poem google Warren "Punchy" Dickey Passes.

Punchy was always well dressed as Mary Lib  would give him Delvin's hand me downs.

Bill Dawkins from Delaware might have had a hand in that poem also.
