I’m thinking Nutcracker Sweet will be very good in elimination and final.  He has raced very good the last two weeks

13 last year.  11 the year before.

When's the last time they ran 3 elims?

It has been a skip race for a few years now.
The week before and 2 weeks after are viewed as more serious spots to race.
Half as the NA Cup.
Even the SBSW had 28.

Lost In Time, the 2017 Dan Patch 2-Year-Old Pacing Colt of the Year, has been sidelined from racing due to a broken sesamoid. Lost In Time underwent surgery on Monday.

While sesamoid injuries in racehorses are serious and can be career-ending, many horses return to race successfully. The most common type of sesamoid fracture is that of the proximal sesamoid bones (PSB), a pair of small, nodular bones located at the back of the fetlock.

Lost In Time won the 2017 Metro Pace for trainer and co-owner Jim Mulinix. Jimmy Takter took over training the colt late last year. The colt was scheduled to compete in the Meadowlands Pace.

The look of the sophomore pacing division has certainly changed with the news that 2017 Dan Patch Award winner Lost In Time has suffered an injury that will sideline him for the season.

Co-owner Scott Robinson told Trot Insider that the three-year-old trained on Friday but showed signs of soreness on Saturday. An x-ray revealed a cracked sesamoid bone.  Robinson noted that Lost In Time was in surgery on Monday morning at the equine clinic of Dr. Patti Hogan. A renowned equine surgeon, Hogan performed the two pastern surgeries that helped pacing superstar Always B Miki return to harness racing and become the fastest Standardbred of all time.

With most expecting to see Lost In Time dropped in the box for this weekend's Meadowlands Pace eliminations, Robinson admitted that he personally called Adriano Sorella, owner of sophomore Jimmy Freight, to give him a clearer picture of Saturday's fields before making a decision to supplement.

Robinson could not confirm how long Lost In Time would be sidelined but initial indications are that the colt will not race again this season.
