You think he did it for harness racing rather than himself? Don’t be silly. If the labor of horsemen wasn’t enriching him, fine. But horsemen should also have the same right to recoup their investments that he’s currently capitalizing on. It’s a two-way street. Nevertheless I agree with MR. DALRAE. It turned out to be a bad investment, after all. And them’s the breaks. It’s definitely going to hurt harness racing in a big big way.
People would much rather bet on a product they’re emotionally invested in. How harness will compete against can-do rah-rah home-town spirit and camaraderie, I do not know. But it’s a seriously tall order. My question is how that impacts the casinos that rely on racing to operate. Either they’ll do something to save racing for their own sakes or maneuver to establish independence from it, I figure.

SHOULD CONVICTED FELONS GET A PENNY? WHAT ABOUT CHEATS? CANT GET EMPLOYED BY CASINO BUT HAFTA GET PURSES FROM THEM 73cv.2

If they can get licensed by the state they’re not excluded, am I right? So what are you talking about?  And yes, everyone “should” absolutely be compensated for their work and investment in the sport that’s earning for others. What possible problem could you have with that?

A bad investment? Wasn't he given a back door after X years of 105 or 110% of his investment. Sure he loses the purse money he has put into the last few years. Whether it was 10 or 15mln. If a investor has deep enough pockets and was willing to keep the track open and going with chances of slots. Most make that deal. Sure he was unfortunate to reach into his pockets the last few years to keep purses funded. However he is given a shot with sports wagering to recoup that loss. I would have to go back to the original deal but believe he had a out at some point. I would take that risk reward 10 out of 10 times.

YOU HADTA ASK? CASINO IS DISCRIMINATING UNDER GUISE OF PROTECTIONS EXCLUDING PEOPLE THAT HAVE CHANGED AND NEED WORK? WAS THAT SO HARD?
