some tracks need to close .
tioga n vernon 100 miles apart..why does he race against himself??? cant and shouldnt those tracks be open at different times of the year?
Not quite sure how they couldn’t fill Friday, yet have 13 Saturday and probably will have 11-12 Sunday. It’s poor management by the racing secretary. Tioga seems to attempt the keep racing days designated, but you have to manage it a bit better. As far as Tioga and Vernon, I agree!! Racing seasons should be separated and managed much like NYRA with Aqueduct, Belmont and Saratoga. Spread the racing season out between Tioga and Vernon and race from February to late November. Winter meet at Meadowlands will fill the gap. With little to no overlap, purse money could probably be raised some, have bigger fields, more races, and much better racing!
Alternating days worked in Chicago for HOW MANY YEARS? Central NY winters suck so working around the seasons may not be a great idea but whats wrong with Tioga W,F,Su afternoon and Vernon Thu, Sat, Mon?
what the matter with closeing yonkers ,Pocono ,chester and medows?
They also have the same day and time to enter at Tioga and Vernon for the most part.So if you don’t get in or the race doesn’t fill at 1 track, it’s too late to enter at the other track.
Winters do suck, hence taking off November through January....
Guess it dosen't snow in Feb. & Mar. Brandywine & Liberty Bell put each other out of business by going head to head. The boat races didn't help either.
Winters in the Philadephia/Wilmington are are NOTHING compared to upstate New York. Vernon has had 7 feet of snow in 7 days before. That doesn't work.
also, Vernon has an outside paddock
Vernon also had a test facility broken into. Jeffffie promised FULL DISCLOSURE, never happened
