MEADOWLANDS HORSE SHORTAGE?
« on: April 17, 2018, 09:28:38 PM »
IS IT JUST THE 'HORSE SHORTAGE' AT THE MEADOWLANDS OR DOES THE TRACK CHASE HORSES AWAY TO RACE ELSEWHERE?

The Meadowlands race programs This weekend compared to the corresponding weekend for the past 4 years:
2018: 20 races, 160 horses
2017: 22 races, 184 horses
2016: 24 races, 211 horses
2015: 26 races, 235 horses

Definitely a horse shortage. Vernon opens Friday and no Buffalo again this Friday. In fact, if you look at the trainers at Vernon, many regulars at Buffalo. Lots of horseman getting out of this business!

Exactly right Trottin Man And guess what up here its only going to get worse Much worse They let those few barns get away with murder because sadly they need their horses to make a card Batavia this summer should be a lot of fun for the few honest trainers they have left Also the owners listed in the program aint the people that own the horses SAD
