If you look hard enough for a pink unicorn, guess what? You'll find tons of evidence they exist. OTOH, this is certainly not a questionable incident free sport. There mere fact that CAW's exist and allowed to operate simply opens the door to anything and everything in the way of accusations, criticism, and the like. In this case, if you are talking about odds going from 5.6 to 1 to 8.1 to 1, that could be insignificant or substantial. The problem is we are absent of ALL facts, specifics, etc.
So, you can throw out facts and say it's either betting after the start (CAW or not).....or late money, drag, pool flush, etc. Choose your poison? You always have the option to pick up your marbles and go home.
