2yo looked good.  Back half in 55 easy.  Don’t see that in the Delaware stakes at 2.

Erv Miller had a horse in the same race that looked clearly second best on paper but didn't run a lick and finished 3rd.

When is enough?  How much does he need? In the long run, he is ruining the sport. More and more small breeders are getting out of the game. Saw a race in Ohio Sire Stakes finals. He had 5 of the 8 horses in the race for $300,000.

This is the direction the whole country is going. How many restaurants are not part of some group? Private equity is owning everything. Why did Walmart and Amazon become so huge? There is a cost and administrative advantage to being big.

What is really ruining racing is the slots money. The Grand Circuit is becoming obsolete.  When I watching the sale, most of the best horses were listed as eligible to some state AND Kentucky. It is people like Diamond Creek who try to keep the best horses in the state races instead of the Grand Circuit.

Let's face it. If Burke, Engblom, Estrada, Eckley invaded Delaware most of these guys here would be back cow farming!

Delaware got the slots & the Dover purses were great. Burke raced there and had success. He was not allowed to takeover the place. His entries seem to be limited. Congrats to Delaware for protecting their own. It is many, many years later and still has limited entries.

Agree, they love to protect the local cheaters. Just don't let those out of state gassers in!  73cv.2
