People from many both sides of the political spectrum as well as financial forums have weighed in on this. At least 1 member of the house has openly admitted they made a mistake by voting for this. Now members in the senate are having 2nd thoughts also. Even the financial views are very skeptical of this too!  Again, this is in all mainstream media, both sides of the political spectrum and everyone else in between.

I haven't researched this comment, so I may be way off, but has any budget/financial bill been passed in the USA, without skepticism and media challenges and pressure from someone within the party presenting the bill.   Isn't this the norm?

As I said, I've got no stats to back this up, but if someone can point me to a budget bill that passed unscathed, let me know.  I'll investigate that one in detail.
