Purse analysis: Harrington vs. Harrahs Philly!
« on: April 10, 2025, 07:58:27 PM »
Harrahs Philly has eliminated Wednesday racing EXCEPT for the month of July and the race dates have dropped to 126 vs. over 150 in past years. Their top purse is now only $14,000 and other than that class their purse structure is now on par with that of Rosecroft's.  Harrington's top purse is $18,000 which tops Harrah's Philly.

I believe the Harrington meet us at least 1 month shorter than Harrah’s Philadelphia!

Also each state has their own programs—Delaware owned/bred and Pennsylvania owned/bred. I believe tougher to race at Harrington than Harrah’s Philadelphia.

How they ever thought a casino in a poor area would be successful is beyond me. I've been to the track on multiple occasions for racing. At most there are 100 people either in front of TV's or outside. When I venture upstairs to the casino, not only is it more than half empty, but they also still allow smoking which makes it almost unbearable to a non smoker.
