Watched Bill Mahar's show tonight with GOP Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Green. I'd always heard she was kinda nuts, but Mahar's audience (usually left leaning) were applauding her on many things she stated. It was pointed out the despite an approval rating hovering around 15% for Congree, both sides refuse to work together. She pulled no punches telling the audience that GOP House Leader Mike Joihnson needs to call back Congress and get a deal hammered out. I enjoyed her criticism of both parties.
Dougie, this is not making sense since the way the system works is that the house passes a bill or resolution and then sends it to the senate for approval. The senate can approve or change the bill or resolution.
If they change the bill or resolution, they send it back to the house.
If they approve the bill or resolution, then it is sent to the president for his signature.
It seems like representative Green is a bit confused, at this point speaker Johnson has to wait for senate leader Thune before he can address the resolution again.
