Heard Ireland is sending over some standardbreds who are Pintos.  Does anyone remember when there was one racing at Yonkers- Roosevelt years ago?

There was one a year or 2 ago that i saw at Scioto.  He was Irish and a stud.  Not very big and couldn't finish much.  Pretty don't get you much in racing.  I thought Virgil had one last year that was a pretty good one who finished runner up in some stake races.

Virgil leases the horse (but someone had a good eye to be willing to pay $45,000 for a pinto as a yearling??)

I always thought they were a little more chestnut mixed in than that. But I think they’re cool looking.

Pinto isn't chestnut dependent. At least one of those ones from Ireland appears to be black and white.

Virgil's is interesting because he wasn't purposefully bred for this, whereas they're selectively breeding for pintos in Ireland.
