Freehold borough mayor Kane says in this article that numerous times the borough tried to get Bruno to work with them to improve the situation but Bruno ignored them. He states the borough leaders may search for a party to take over Freehold raceway and continue running it as a standardbred track, article,

  • Bitter Truth: That Golden Tempo , I'm afraid is  a money burner. Gets so far back. Was in range but just hung and raced even in the stretch. Didn't see a Derby winner in there in my opinion.
