An interesting book from The Harness Racing Museum & Hall of Fame in Goshen. I don't remember when they did this, but it is a nice piece with some very interesting stories/bios about many under the radar horsemen.

It's remarkable reading. My father knew Harold Snodgrass and he saw Highland Ellen race at Aurora Downs. Thank you very much for bringing back such sweet memories.

It's remarkable reading. My father knew Harold Snodgrass and he saw Highland Ellen race at Aurora Downs. Thank you very much for bringing back such sweet memories.

A year or two prior to his passing, a friend of mine who had recently met Harold asked me to write to cheer him up.  Although his eyesight was failing, he had someone read him the letters and help him write back.  We exchanged a few letters and I loved hearing his stories about helping develop horses I admired such as Land Grant and Jimmy's Pilot.  Rest in peace, Mr. Snodgrass.
