Jimmy Freight Saturday
« on: October 04, 2023, 11:40:05 AM »
Jimmy Freight makes his first start since April 17 this Saturday at Mohawk.
Feel bad for those people who bought in.

Also, the Jimmy Freight stakes goes for 100k same night. Believe its for 2 year olds bred by Jimmy Freight.

It is for horses sired by Jimmy Freight.

Does anyone think that would make it easier to handicap?

I haven't looked at a program yet, but I think it probably would be easier to hit a pretty cold super if there are wide discrepancies in their ability.

Those guys will be just fine, JF was the only stud in Canada to service a full book. There was a problem with conception that has been remedied also.

Glad they got that figured out. It's always a good thing when your stud has a full load of seman.

Asking for a friend but I believe neither the Jimmy Freight Stake or Free For All were retention races. Maybe someone should contact Nancy Takter for Coles notes? He may have had a full book but didn't breed quality mares for a reason. Thoughts?
