You had to be there to understand Monticello. The stories he tells, late 60's thru the 70's, he knew all the players, and I know most of the stories may be somewhat exaggerated, they are true. He's likeable guy, who could talk with the best of them. A wealth of info as most of the players from then are gone.
He might of known them but he was a small time gambler who thought he knew more then everyone else. He just wasn’t a major player. Nice guy yes but like everyone else, Larry was busted and looking for a bone. Book is mostly fictional.

His podcast episodes I think are genuine ( I’m sure he exaggerates some,
don’t we all when telling old war stories) I choose to believe him and enjoy the content as he delivers it. I’d love to see this become a movie or short tv series.
