my betting experience at pocono downs
« on: April 15, 2021, 08:06:36 AM »
last year couldn't watch horses as they barred attendance to watch races
this year finally allowed people to watch races i got there at noon to bet a horse
there was one teller in back room i waited 15 minutes for her to come out there were maybe three other people there
there they have closed the simulcast room down stairs it used to be filled with alot of people there everyday
it included a bar and snack center to get food and a coke  CLOSED
you can go outside and sit on benches but it is deserted
the upstaira clubhouse restaurant where u could eat and watch races with tvs is closed
they allow u to sit there without food now if u want a beer u have to walk to casino area and sit at a bar and drink it
no food unless u walk to otherside where restaurants on other side of building it is a 5-10 minute walk to get there
how about a ruth chris steak for 40$ lol
next time will walk in with a bag of food and a few beers as no one checks u when u walk in racing entrance and sit in deserted clubhouse restaurant area

agreed
however in fairness this is likely not the ideal time to be judging  the tracks as they are barely out of the lockdown depending on the region
lets hope when the nice weather arrives and the stakes season heats up the tracks step up their game  as well
but I am doubtful they will

The truth of the matter is they DON'T want you there! A lot cheaper to just close the stands and have you watch from your living room. Just stay home!

If you have to go, stay in the sports betting area.

Cost more money to open the stands then they make. Ae...Cleaning and having more employees available.

Besides the misery will be over soon at Pocono's! Ask the Governor!
