Fuck Yonkers cancelled due to unsafe track conditions. Its raining out, are they kidding me
Yonkers management is too cheap to pay for competent maintenance and/or pay them to come in early when its snowing or raining. They also use the wrong material on the track in winter. You need to use a coarser stone dust--not the fine powdery cheap shit as that will turn to mud when it rains/snow melts and race bikes and horses sink in it.Place was a muddy mess and George Brennan would have none of it racing on it.
What is really a joke is that management get paid a salary--not a worry if they cancel a meeting or they dont pay the maintennce or buy proper racetrack material--dont answer to anybody. The owners/drivers/trainers--who paid to get their horses to the track and pay their staff--pay the vet for LASIX--they get shafted and not a word from Yonkers for cancelling at the worst time possible or any compensation to owners/trainers for costs incurred for incompetence.
Someone needs a boot up their backside and a wakeup call.
