MSOA
« on: May 30, 2019, 04:10:21 PM »
USTA headline, MSOA announces hot dog pig races! 6/15!!!! What a joke! Why announce it on the USTA web site, do they think members will come from all over the country to see this spectacle. We need bettors!!!! How much is Penn Gaming going to spend on advertising this show. I bet nothing. More wasted money by the MSOA. 30,000 for the Adios statue? Did Penn Gaming put up any cash? NO! they just moved it, they don't really care about the history of the Meadows, they care about their casino. If they cared they would get rid of The Voice, clean up the race office and stop the games that are played.

FYI.  The msoa not my favorite   But they do a half decent job.   The statue was left on a sold piece of  property that was sold by 3 owners ago   TSG or canaberry not sure which group.  But had nothing to do with penn gaming   Penn gaming and msoa did put up the $$$$ to buy back the statue   Yes there might have been a miss communication but give them credit for making it right.   Now sport needs new betters and fresh blood so getting them to the track any way a start    Some one took you and me to a track or we wouldn’t be on this form    Got to start em young and get it in there blood   You just never no there might be a new driver or trainer there

This is 2019 not the 70's, all this has been tried by tracks for years it doen't bring in bettors, once the pigs are done the people will leave. You need to create gamblers, families don't gamble most are watching their kids. Give them a program and a voucher! Casinos have this down pat, cars, tvs

The Adios statue is prominently displayed alongside the electronic message board at the entrance to the Meadows.  It is a significant notification to casino patrons  that the Meadows races horses.  The sign is modern and bright and flashes  constantly changing messages.

pig races - wiener dog races .. FUN; but, you are on card!  it's fun to promote; but, weak on marketing yield.  Now, the angle that I think you miss > is that racinos / tracks need to research and define the demographic that they target.  At the risk of overgeneralizing .. it seems reasonable that gamblers would be incentivized by on the cheap drinks - food and buffet - good lookin' gals w/ a ladies night promo - pretty bikini-clad chicks holding ring cards to announce race # and etc.  NOW?  if this is politically incorrect - well?  hhhmmm, that might just underscore that I'm on the right 'track'.
