I have always rooted for great success at the Meadowlands. I understand some of the dislike for Jeff Gural and how he runs the track. But I think that at 84, he must be looking at retiring at some point. And while it's certainly not his decision if casinos come to his track, I hope they do. I'm the type who wants to see all remaining tracks survive. Here in Maine, harness racing is pretty weak. Some fun Fair racing. Good food and nice rides for the kiddos. But serious racing like Yonkers, Indy, or the "Big M" is non-existent here. They said a new track would come here after Scarborough Downs closed. Never happened. So in the end, I support Gurals Meadowlands.
