Sunday SPA Day IV, 7/13/25
« on: July 13, 2025, 01:11:47 AM »
I'm committing to 2 races at the SPA today.

The 1st race a Maiden Special Weight at 1 1/8 on the dirt.  These 6 horses have collectively won around $220k, some of them are better than stakes horses yet again, never won.

The other is the 9th race, a G3 sprint stakes on the Turf.

Not saying another word, studying, anything until the track conditions and initial scratches are up.  Why?  Because I'm getting the weather wrong 2 of the last 3 days.  Fuck it lol!

Going down a dime for the week thus far.  Making stupid mistakes i.e. weather - wrong track conditions - even moving forward with low % potential despite, too many harness races despite lots of stakes that I like however not putting the proper amount of studying to reduce the amount of races and firm up more precise wagers.

Good Luck!

Good morning riders bettors up, I had a dream I had to get up on a horse for a race nuts.  Otherwise I could of stayed in bed lol.

Track is Fast (I'm thinking there could be a tinge moisture)
Turf is Yielding - 9 (Sounds serious)

Race 1 - (scratched 2) (only 5 horses)

(Both the 1 & 3 raced with each other last, decent race on slop, both laid off, both come back here for the rematch, and neither has been in claiming races.  The #1 & #5 are 4 yo geldings, higher weight, the others are 3yo c/g's.  #1 as a Maiden still like now, was in the Tampa Bay Derby last year, go figure lol, I guess they had high hopes for him.)

Good luck!

$10 exx 13
$10 ex 31
$5 win 1
$3 tri 13/13/all
$3 tri 3/1/all
$1 sup 13/13/all/all
$1 sup 3/1/all/all

Got Pletchered and nice, confident ride from Irad.

The 3 should of been on that lead, was very tough to restrain, and Junior didn't sense that maybe the field would compact.

Would the outcome of been different, maybe not, but take the confidence away...

Following this horse, Carroll's Honor #5 running in the 8th at GP at @444pm.

Bet her to win and with 5 / alls on exacta, tris, sups, with the rest of the 1 Bean I've put in today so far.

Still working on the 9th at the SPA...

Thanks.. I've been ice cold lately so take my selections with a bushel of salt.. I was red hot in May and the beginning of June, but have cooled off substantially. Out at Gulfstream already in leg 2.. the 2 horse won race 2 and he hadn't run since August of 2023 lol

9th Race - 51⁄2 Furlongs. (Turf) QuikCall-G3 Quick Call

(3, 8MTO scratched)

Going with the #7 10-1, the seemingly lesser of the 2 Weaver horse's, however the only one with pretty good European genetics that hopefully he can dig into and the yielding turf as well to get it done.  Two Races 1 win 1 second under his belt, last race decent, why not?

#7 wp and on top of ex tri sup in this small field of 5 others.  A small reverse too with #7 for second.

Ortley Avenue  ;D

You should have listened to Bello and Dingus.  You overanalyzed the 1st at Saratoga.

Weather and same day handicapping got me late to the party here.

But I love your logic, being a big Sovereignty, follower, and winner (accept for the FD), wish I would of seen it!
