He grew up in a harness racing family and has been driving for over 30 years, and probably doesn't know how to do anything else. He used to get plenty of catch drives when Colonial Downs still had harness racing, and did okay when he drove at Tioga Downs.

  • Calhoun: That tri pool was $4500. Net of takeout $3300.  Out of 60 possible outcomes, the result was  5th most likely out of 60 (using win odds to calc). Paid 14 to 1. Doesn't seem awful. It also would have been bet pretty good by the genpop. Maybe rigged for the 3 to win but the tri? I think not too likely.
