NJ Sire Stakes
« on: May 03, 2025, 10:06:48 PM »
The 3 yo Cattlewashes seem to be going backwards or at best not stepping forward.  Maybe he does better in Canada but the pacing side needs a major talent injection in the pacing side.  Hopefully Perfect Sting and Legendary help out

N.J. Sire stakes - Harness Racing's millionaire welfare. Top 5 percent of owners and trainers racing against themselves in non-competitive, wagering handle suicide races, trying to recoup ill-advised vanity yearling purchase money.

Love the Sire Stakes program. Way back, NJ was really the only state where yearling buyers could buy big money yearlings/sires looking for grand-circuit types of 2yo's and 3yo's.....and if they weren't, you had a strong Sire Stakes program to fall back on. Not any more! LOL. Today every other state has it and NJ doesn't. LOL. At least on the pacing side, LOL.
