Has to be. There almost was an accident in the 10th. They probably thought racing should have been canned at that point. Most of the top drivers took off.

Now there are scratches. No drivers left to drive them apparently. The announcer quit doing his prerace handicapping, which is usually good, but he probably doesn't know any of the drivers.

Are the horsemen ‘needy’ for purse money?

They race for decent money there!

They should know better!

Just imagine if these sane horsemen were racing at places like Monticello, Cal Expo, Flamboro, et al.!

If they are “broke” racing at Northfield, they would be starving at the tracks listed above if they raced there.

If any animals/humans got hurt, they should look at themselves as for the reason it happened!!
