Maybe the #1 cant sit in a hole and chokes and needs to be on the front. Maybe they were trying to see if he was any better on the front end.  Maybe he was on go and their juice just sucks. Or maybe they were gambling and left the favirote off the ticket or maybe Tim deaton sucks as a driver and so does Neill and bob and both are brain dead.

Remember watching this race I had a few bucks on Deaton's horse and cursed him upside down for not taking back. I could have clunked both of their heads together finishing up the track.

Deaton’s not the dude to try and punk on the track.  Best guess is Neill fucked him at some point earlier in the card and Deaton let him know it was coming or Deaton was under strict orders to hang everyone.
