Cannibal really racing in Commonwealth and not the KYSS against Confederate?? Finish 2nd to Confederate you still make more than you do for winning the Commonwealth race?

They are both owned by Diamond Creek and the ten grand difference is irrelevant to Bowden.  I think that they could reason that they don't want Confederate beaten and both horses are so good that they don't want them slugging it out against each other right now.

Exactly - They are just protecting Confederate and trying to win out.  Plus he needs the win to make the final of the KYSS.

fyi
confederate does not need to win the last leg, there are only 9 with any points and a few have long since disappeared since leg one so ponce he races in leg 4 he is in final
also just an fyi i strongly suspect that cannibal will also be in the $400 k final

  • Bitter Truth: That Golden Tempo , I'm afraid is  a money burner. Gets so far back. Was in range but just hung and raced even in the stretch. Didn't see a Derby winner in there in my opinion.

  • Trigger: I thought BT & I had a real good shot w/ a 110 4/5, wide but nice momentum, and then a sharp left turn mid stretch ended that  ngc3
