watching replays from Friday night
« on: July 29, 2023, 12:02:24 PM »
Race 1 -- covered already under testing for amateurs

Race 3 - Burke winner - pretty handy
           -  Melander $500k purchase needs to find speed

Race 4 - 2 well priced Bongiorno trainees not a whole lot
           - Ake had an all white horse sired by White Bliss --- may not be much better than daddy

In first tonight, 7 capone horse looked well meant and showed remarkable staying power  in last week club event .  If has same level of gas in tonights tank, will win this pseudorace.

He had one in race 14 yesterday at Harrahs PHl he claimed off no training Eisenhower. Put J Ahle up ( who is quickly improving) and jogged.

At a decent price. Sometimes you just need  to keep your eyes open. 2-1 was a great price in race 1

Also, Watch Yanick last night lose on 2 horses under odds on. Seems like he is lost vs. Dexter. Maybe winning the Adios will get his confidence back.

A problem with amateur races is public is more expecting of oddities and thus more willing to forgive (justify) them. Whomever the driver of that race, the trainer must of let him know there was a big mile in the horse tonight.  ngc3 He was driven from the get go like the winner. No ? in my mind at the half was a winner.

To be fair horse did look best on paper. But lifetime best? Thats a little odd.

Yep, Capone is one worth taking notice of. Improving horses immensely. Not going to pass judgement yet as to how.
