Double Headers
« on: July 04, 2023, 03:13:52 PM »
I remember the holidays always having a double header at Buffalo Raceway. They had great crowds, bet good. Now you can't even fill one card let alone two and you can't draw flies.

Jai alai used to be big in the late 70s..early 80s...Connecticut . times change, people want constant entertainment like phones or casino. Plus more couples at casino m chicks galore. Belmont does good because the payouts can be big. You don't see Bartlett winning at 2.80

Best thing for afternoon crowds is a rainy morning, clearing at 11.
