CPU = couldn't pull up after the race

BU = blew up as it paced or trotted out of its equipment

CC = driver couldn't control

LAH = lame as hell

R = horse went into reverse at some point during the race

M =  horse malfunctioned due to some supplement / vitamin / drug reaction
