I agree, the sport no longer has the need for MA and PA style outfits. And they should be done away with, along with the tracks they race those broken down 3 legged cripples at.

You know the stables, who breed the same now 20 yr ole mare with a 2.02 mark on a half mile, to the families pet stallion who hasn't sired a steaks winner ever.   It is a breeders game now, and it all TRICKLES DOWN from there.  You either keep up with the times or get the fuck out, No matter how many great times you had with your dead grandad there. If you don't like what you are racing for, go somewhere else, quit begging.  You are embarrasing

I don't watch reruns and I don't eat leftovers. So why does harness racing continue to serve up buffets of leftovers?
Get something FRESH ON THE PLATE. Bettors get tired of the SAME OLD SHIT DIFFERENT DAY.
Tracks need to infuse new blood, both on the track with horses and horsemen, and behind the scenes. Don't just make a harness track a home for stupid old horsemen.

To all you negative posters:  Go look at the Monticello Condition Sheet.  Purses range from $3400 to $8600.  Not bad for a "dump", "shithole", etc.  Sad thing is that those so called horsemen that bitch the most on here will be the first ones to drop their horses in the box.  Eric Warner and Howard Oil should be the Republican candidates in 2024!

yup, improvements at monti. i heard they consulted with scarborough downs on improvements. they split 1 bottle of sanitizer between them. promised that at least twice a month something somewhere would be swept and maybe mopped. made sure to lock all doors so no one could enter.

They have a new grandstand seating area on the first turn. You can't see the back stretch and it's impossible to see the stretch from that horrendous angle. Winter wind chills are usually below 0 and this beauty doesn't have any heat.  73cv.2 73cv.2 73cv.2
