Harness racing totem pole
« on: April 22, 2023, 10:23:17 AM »
Who should be at the top of the harness racing totem pole ?  Any opinions on who is most important to harness racing's future ?   The owners, trainers, drivers, care takers, fans, bettors, breeders, good horses, race tracks, casinos, management , etc.   I say the owners. Without them spending their money harness racing would die on the vine.

"If you build it, they will come."

"They" are the GAMBLERS, otherwise this wouldn't be a forum, it ain't an Olympic sport, none of the others would exist of any great importance, and if so on such a minor level it would be on the non existent cable channel ESPN Horsee  ;D

The casinos. Without them , most of the tracks would have no money to have purses to keep people in the business

And what would casino do without GAMBLERS?

It's like a rolled ground ball question, through another set of legs!   ;D

It's almost like the chicken and egg question. Without one of these you can't have the other.

It's almost like the chicken and egg question. Without one of these you can't have the other.

"Back to our original question: with amniotic eggs showing up roughly 340 million or so years ago, and the first chickens evolving at around 58 thousand years ago at the earliest, it's a safe bet to say the egg came first. Eggs were around way before chickens even existed."

With that said, GAMBLERS are the EGG!  ;D

I think the GAMBLER sitting a top of a STANDARDBRED (or Thoroughbred) at the top of the totem poll is a fair image.

In the background a shuttered glue factory converted into a prison that now house the guilty scumbags therein makes a sweet picture.   ;D
