Racing hill
« on: August 18, 2020, 04:30:36 PM »
Just curious: what is everyones opinion on the racing hills this year? I have one that is royally bred but was very immature, and still growing a lot, so we turned him out. Plenty of racing hills to choose from from decent mares in the upcoming sales. Just wondering others thoughts on them. Have heared alot of mixed reviews.

Yeah mine was small but growing. Everything still wide open with year end xrays. Assuming they'll drop off. More curious on attitudes. He got the top mares. Definetly not the case this year with seaside and dragon.

Here are the current stats 93 foals 60 starters.  5 with a win 1:55 or under. Three earned over 25k so far. Filly 47k, filly 100k, and a colt 80k. Ones with posted wins and times ten seem like they have raced the fair route? I sold one at Lex for 30k, video was really good, and his appearance was striking. Actually first q was today at scioto not posted yet. Have heard the same of the sulking but it's so hard to judge a first crop and of course if some don't perform the word gets out. Seems like the smaller states like OH and IN the new sires get the three year rotation to prove themselves before the next sires take their shot.
