Amazing that Tbred tracks are racing or will re-open soon, but no harness.

And Tbreds need outriders and starting gate personnel that Sbreds need only 1 or 2 of.
Head scratcher.

Matter of political clout maybe? No reason some of these harness tracks can't race with fans. Only 1-3 people at most tracks. Tracks should agree to have at least 5 masks total on hand to give out in case attendance swells.

Gotta believe Lexington is a slam dunk to race entire meet (maybe without fans) unless things were to move backwards virus wise. Nice track too. Would get some of my play absent sports.

As we all know first harness track that opens hits the JACKPOT. I think OAKLAWN handled 41 Million the other day!

What tracks have a shot at opening in June ? Obviously May has no shot and the northeast may not open until end of summer .

Given the current global situation, a recent article that has appeared on the website of the Federal News Network has characterized Sweden's racing as a 'saviour' for the country's participants, the wagering companies, and their customers, alike.
The races are being contested, but without fans and with strict social distancing measures in place, which has been the norm for all tracks that have been operating throughout the current coronavirus situation.
Although Sweden's racing organizations are not operating to take advantage of the global crisis, handicappers are watching the product being presented, and they are, in turn, firing away at the product. ATG chief executive Hans Lord Skarplöth has been cited as saying that his wagering company has seen a 600% spike in wagering on Swedish races since the middle of March.

huh, go figure

not sure I understand the connection you are trying to make
my point was they are racing, not really concerned with specifics of individuals

sure doesn´t look like may 15th,  any of those tracks. Have not seen any announcement from Hoosier or Hawthorn, thought they ere supposed to be announcing opening. ????????????? He is always negotiating with Vernon horsemen, trying to take more from them, and they do not have anything to give up, ribbons for all, no purses this year.

How do the owners do it? The horsemanship is so bad, it's mind boggling.

I believe Tioga ended their season early part of last Sept, so there still was slots going on for 6 months before the shutdown.

Different situation for Vernon, where racing ended in November.
