Very true, pushed hard! tmbz1

Considering the #6 behind him wasn't, and easily tailed Ammo, Confederate looks like a monster!

Ammo looked a bit too fired up coming past the 3/8s, Miller probably gave him his head on the backside to keep from choking him. Hopefully they get him a little more ratable, lots of talent. Chased hard cause Tetrick was running overtop of him in the stretch. Willing to bet he gets buried and only races the last 3/8s against a group he towers over.

Confederate looked like he might have brushed a knee once or twice when changing gears, but Tetrick had this thing up on the bit the entire mile. Diamond Creek looks to have a serious colt on their hands.

Great eyes on you bro, and analysis! Thank you!   tmbz1

I put Confederate in my virtual stable, for those that don't know you add and delete horses (drivers and trainers too), they alert you before and after your horse races, qualifies, works out, scratch's....Some ADW's offer, they are typically free!  The one I use:

Considering they qualified in 51 after the first leg of the sire stakes, the trainers know they are grand circuit colts. Maybe they’ll be big players maybe they’ll just dance the dances but you know these colts will be in the mix.

Just a kind of a logical guess, maybe more high level experience, and attention to detail.  Biggest reason he's (Pelling) down in the big NE circuit, and where the other is racing is in the midwest despite being out of the local.  They might share training duties on Confederate based on geographic location where the horse lands to race.

Brown has continually had horses sold/owners changed trainers that have made major improvements. Decent job developing them but his three year olds have not performed up to their 2 yr old standard for years at this point.
