So nobody's are showing up in 7 figure races now? Look at the purse my man.  That statement is a little off base.
Don’t look at the purse. Look at what it cost to be eligible. Watch the Eliminations over the last 20 years and you will see a ton of unknowns enter and a few screwed the better horses out of a decent starting spot in the final

No stake race should have supplemental entries.  Pay your money and take your chances.

That sounds right. I thought Pierce was involved, but I couldn't remember just how.

He'll be there. They are prepping him for heat racing now.

It was also posted Confederate was not going to be in Pocono. We will see who is in the race when it comes time to enter.
Where did you see this?

if he wants to be thought of as a top, top stallion by everyone, gotta dance at this dance, especially the way Timmy has been taking care of him all year

the horse has barely broken a sweat and it's a huge purse

My 50 years in the game has taught me nothing and I am his biggest fan in the world and badly want to see him go to the Jug...So, explain to me how going to the Jug and hopefully winning it increases his stud value? If he quit today, they could print millions with him for years

It’s the difference between being a 12k stud and a 20k stud.

in my opinion it shows the owners aren't afraid of any other horse and he can race on any size surface if they go but if they don't go it shows they may be perceived as ducking the race, not to mention a slap in the face to the good fans in Ohio

I remember the days that the best horses would race anyone anywhere

Agree with your points essentially. Just missing how a given race really affects stud fee when he in particular already has and will continue to do so much. Again, I would love to see him go and feel wholeheartedly he should.

Besides being the biggest race purse wise and still big name wise, it’s his only real shot to hit the 2 mil milestone. He wins it and runs the table, he’ll command a 25k stud fee next year.

And his sire did (Somebeachsomewher e) not go & it did not hurt him in the breeding shed I would say.
