Not only are there 4 six horse fields but HIGHLY unusual for Yonkers or any 1/2 mile track to not split it into 3 divisions of 8 each.  I never saw them do this before. They added $50,000 to a night to add 1 race to the program which makes no sense.  It is great for the owners with 5 of 6 horses getting checks in each race and less of a handicap for the outside draws only going 6 across.

Surprised to see both Bartlett and Brennan have just one drive each.

Not Suprised on Bartlett. He basically drives for Engblom. You’d be a fool to list him on your horses at Yonkers because 99% chance he opts off to take Per’s.

They are hurting to fill races/cards so they made it four divisions

Pocono has taken away a decent amount of entries overall

I like the 4-six horse fields [not that I'll be betting] Should make every race competitive and and give each horse an honest run without
being burdened with near impossible 7+8 holes. Even if get out last you can get the cover flushed and be right in range. tmbz1

It's going to be merry go round, indian file from before the quarter pole to the three quarters with a 3/16th of a mile sprint to the finish. The most boring racing on the planet.

They do look kind of easy though.  I don't usually post selections but I'll make an exception.

First division Red Right Hand won his debut beating the best newcomer at M1 .. should wire these

Second Division Hellabalou loves Yonkers and has the most early speed.  The Tetrick horse seems the only competition

Third Division.  Covered Bridge is the best half mile horse in the country .. wins easy pays nothing.

Fourth Division  Idealsomemagic A  quartermoves doesn't look back.  Former track record holder Semi Tough loves Yonkers and is in great form .. only real competition unless the Coleman/Toscano horse can fire first start.  I'd wait on that one.
