Good answer. It's kinda funny for me. When we went to the post draw at Pompano, we always drew the outside. When we didn't go, we drew the inside. LOL!

Am I wrong saying it's the judges who conduct the draws? Whether pills or computer.

I haven't been to a draw for a long time, but back when Brandywine Raceway was still open I witnessed several draws where they put the pills in the bottle and the entrees in a box and a horseman would help conduct the draw by pulling the pills while another person pulled an entree. I'm assuming the person pulling the entrees was a racing official.

I don't remember who did this, but I believe someone at Northfield 'palmed' the #1 pill for his own personal benefit a handful of years ago.

The draw imo can no longer be manipulated, however a Race Secretary has the ability to "tweek" a condition at the last second to create a favor for someone who wasn't eligible at the close of the box.Then they tell anyone who gripes about it that it had to be done in order to fill the race!

I'm pretty sure this was before the computerized random draw and guys like Banca drew the inside at a statistically impossible rate, and this was over a sampling of 1,000+ races.
I knew someone that could swear under oath that Ferriero was manipulating the order of the entry cards. Once time it was for a redraw for some reason and Banca magically ended up with the rail.
He was lucky to be told to shut his mouth and take a walk..should have been taken off in cuffs.
