i watch some dover yesterday and couldn't help to notice tony morgan reaching down and giving 2 horses nasty stifle shots. one horse he did it to just past the half. ever seen one cut open by the whip? i bet you those 2 horses yesterday were cut open or had bad welts.

i heard and seen drivers brag about it. maybe you are part or the problem and should be dealt with as such.
the top guys dont use the whip as much. but the guys with no skill and talent know when the whip isnt going to help. maybe some are just too dumb.

You are 100% correct. Why shoot the messenger? The people who invested in harness racing, work at it. or are just fans of it, should be appalled at how some horses are treated in this business.

On every circuit, at every training centre, public or private exist many horsemen, and I'll use that term loosely, that can't play by the rules. They will buy and inject anything that will stop a horse from bleeding, block lameness and increase red blood cell count. Some even go as far as injecting or tubing drugs that make horses heart beat 20% faster than it natural would. It's been like that for at least 30 years, that's as long as I've witnessed it and no doubt, even after the Fishman take down, continues to this day. Vets are primarily to blame for making these products available. Some pharmaceutical companies are also to blame with their mail order business flourishing in the past 20 years thanks to the Internet. Like the majority of criminals roaming the streets, they are never got the first time and many will evade punishment for a very long time, if ever. As with your local police, racing commissions are futile, in large part due to always being one step behind in what to test for and when. Some are also just indifferent. What I can't understand is how all the good and righteous people, and they are many, demand more of their local horsemen's groups. Like how long are you going to put in 80 hours a week only to scratch and claw out a meagre life.  How long can you stay silent while a dozen cheaters bankrolled by approximately two dozen scumbag owners continue to damage the sport to a point. And if it's akin to The Thin Blue Line well, here's a little cheat sheet for you'll: if you will not fight for the horses and sport, then you will be finding another occupation very soon. The amount of contraction in this sport in the last 15 years is staggering. Wake the fuck up, organize at the grassroots level by voting in better personnel into your local Horsemen's groups. If you're waiting on Gural or any racetrack operator you better think again, they have their own agenda. Racing commissions need help, I'd recommend you be that help. Get rid of every damn horsemen that was on Fishman's list, that are not your friends. Time to start putting integrity back into the care of the horse. I guess what I'm trying to say is change will have to come within the ranks.

You are 100 percent right but how can it work with ex trainers and drivers as judges and big farms and ex trainers running the USTA writing articles that never look to correct wrongs and believing that if you do not talk about it that it will all vanish,      Until horsemen have zero say in this game there will be corruption at the highest level,      Is there not one horse person owner trainer and driver that has ever said to himself that i am going to do everything i can to get rid of the people hurting my game,     put the gamblers in charge of cleaning this game like poker does and it works because they do something about the cheating and unlike horse racing that allows groups into the pools and lets computer bettors  bet when seeing a horse offstride behind and they damage all pools from tris to super to wps pools and in poker if you are using your phone to find out what is the best play you can make at the time you will be kicked out as has happened often lately and thats because the players know advantage play will drive everyone away from the game, When i read people talk about certain trainers and call people jealous for calling out the cheats or say sorry you lost your 2 dollars i wonder how i dont see many comments about these fools,     Mr GURAL can improve this game by getting rid of his joke GM and get people involved that are willing to make changes
