They confirmed today at the symposium  that therr is zero independent oversite of any US tote system.

Translation: tracks can and will do whatever they want and we have absolutely no idea what's going on with the caws.

I think the Meadowlands shut off CAW betting as a test, and the handle dropped over half. They quickly allowed them back

I thought the Meadowlands eliminated the drag for 2 weeks and handle got crushed.  Gural said screw you all and went back to having about 25-30 minutes in between races again.

It was the opposite. The reduced drag threw off the caw algorithms
Gural publicly stated that the caws couldn't adjust so they returned to the drag.
The caws couldn't bet last so they weren't betting at all. Their software was set up to follow the drag schedule.

Bartlett was watching his son's first basketball game last week. Only driving two so maybe watching another before driving.

Last night he won 2 of the big finals and was second in the other two. All-source handle on the 12-race program totaled $1,600,765 which is the highest THURSDAY night handle there in a long time.

Nobody wants to hear about handle until we are told what % is CAW and what % is retail.

Save the bullshit

This comment right here. Perfectly stated. Is 100% exactly why the industry has been destroyed.

Congratulations

If widardofoz's real name isn't on a payroll / expense check cut by New Meadowlands Racetrack LLC, I think I'm a monkeys uncle.

100% spot on
Everyone who works are the tracks believes what he posted.

Meadowlands handle down 3% year over year and blame it on the 3 weeks when they reduced the drag.

Remember what gural said about those 3 weeks. The CAWs couldn't adjust to the different countdown clock so they weren't betting, he reinstated no drag.

Attributing an entire years worth of handle decline iver a few weeks the caws couldn't bet
